ASSESSMENT OF
FOREIGN ACCENT
|
|
There
are 4
sections to
the Compton
Phonological Assessment of Foreign Accent. It is a
slightly expanded version of the screening.
The first section provides us with valuable information about your
background and current communication needs. The remaining 3
sections
will involve recording samples of your speech in a variety of
contexts. You will need to use your microphone to complete the
assessment.

Happens After
You Complete the Assessment? |
|
| Upon
submission
your speech
professional will analyze your speech and confirm the length of course
you will need. The recommendation will also include a
personal phonetic
analysis. Based on the
phonetic analysis a
completely
individualized program is constructed to match your level of
pronunciation proficiency. You and your speech professional
will
then discuss a course schedule. Upon receipt of your
training
materials
you will begin your daily practice and weekly interaction
with your
speech professional. |
|
|
You will need a
microphone to
complete sections II, III, and IV of the evaluation.
Approximate time required to complete this assessment
is 30 minutes.
Before
you begin... try out your microphone with the recorder below (click
here for more details on how to
use the recorder).

you are ready click "RECORD"
